The new TOX Pressing Monitor EPW 400

Touchscreen EPW 400

Application:

The pressing monitoring system EPW 400 checks processes where a precisely defined functional correlation between force and travel must be checked. The Process Monitor EPW is widely used to monitor joining, riveting, press-in and staking processes.

The EPW 400 can be used in fully automated production lines, as well as in manual processes such as acceptance sampling in shipping and receiving.

Quick component part changes are no problem for the EPW 400. Up to 64 component part specific parameter settings are available and can be controlled by PLC or by menu. Due to the coloured touch display and the simple, self-explanatory icons of the menu guidance, it is very easy to adapt the settings to customer specific requirements.

Examination system:

Following the START of the appliance, the measuring values captured by the sensors as X-Y pairs in the form of a measuring curve, are written in a memory, shown as graphics, and evaluated with the help of a special window technique. If the measuring curve has run through the windows as defined, the  EPW emits a GOOD (IO) or  BAD (NIO) signal. For each window the direction of entrance and exit can be defined. To each measuring curve, a total of 10 windows mixed of all types can be assigned.
